From the bustling record shops of London to the forefront of today’s progressive house scene, Zuccasam’s musical journey is one of rediscovery and relentless creative evolution. The man behind the moniker, Sam Harris, began his career deeply rooted in the UK’s underground music culture, DJing across the capital while working in vinyl stores that helped shape his sharp instinct for sound. Early success came when he and his brother signed a major deal with Virgin Records, cementing their place among the rising talents of their era.

After stepping away from the industry to pursue a new creative path as a successful restaurant entrepreneur, building an award-winning establishment recognised among the UK’s best Italian restaurants, Harris eventually found himself drawn back to his first and truest passion, music.

Re-emerging as Zuccasam, he reignited his love for the underground with a new focus and refined sound: deep, melodic, and emotionally charged progressive house built for the dance floor. His productions have since found a home on respected labels such as Nightcolours, Mango Alley, Dissident, Music To Die For, Electric Eden Records and Plastic Fantastic, many of which hit the Beatport Hype Top Ten.

Zuccasam’s driven, bass-focused style, characterised by rich melodic layers and punchy synth work, has attracted the attention of key names in the scene. Artists such as Gai Barone and Dowden have remixed his tracks, while a recent collaboration with Aubrey Fry further underscores his momentum. His evolution continues to inspire, shaped by a genuine love for underground music and the energy of the dance floor itself.

Supported by some of the biggest tastemakers in progressive house, like Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Sasha, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Just Her, and Marsh, Zuccasam now steps into a new chapter with District Records.
