Born in Haifa, Israel, and now a globally respected name in electronic music, Stereo Underground, aka Yariv Etzion, has followed a remarkable and unconventional path into the underground. Beginning his musical journey as a drummer in the hard rock scene, Yariv’s move to Tel Aviv as a teenager opened the door to electronic music, DJ-ing, and record shop culture. Production soon followed, and by 2009 Stereo Underground was already gaining international recognition, earning early praise from Mixmag and strong DJ support for his hypnotic, otherworldly sound.

Renowned for his versatility and uncompromising quality, Stereo Underground has since established himself as one of the scene’s most distinctive artists. Alongside a relentless touring schedule, he is also a co-founder of BPM College, one of the world’s leading electronic music schools, and the innovative collaboration platform MUZA. His influence extends beyond music production, having become a co-owner of Tel Aviv’s iconic club The Cat & Dog, where he has shared the booth with legends such as John Digweed, Guy J, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells, and Hernan Cattaneo.

His catalogue speaks volumes. From his debut album The Art of Silence on Balance Music, which reached the Beatport Top 10 Melodic House & Techno chart, to genre-defining releases on Sudbeat, Lost & Found, Selador, Global Underground, Einmusika, and beyond, Stereo Underground has delivered a steady stream of chart-topping and scene-shaping music. Highlights include the Sudbeat hit Endless Sun, the Beatport-charting Northern Lights, the global anthem Flashes ft. Sealine, and the #1 Progressive House chart-topping collaboration Dolby with D-Nox. His bootleg remix of Radiohead’s Daydreaming surpassed one million plays, while official remixes for Jerome Isma-Ae, Kasey Taylor, Sam Paganini, and D-Nox & Beckers further underline his range and respect within the industry.
