British-born and now based in Los Angeles, Nick Newman is an artist whose journey into electronic music has always been guided by emotion, curiosity, and quiet determination. Balancing a full-time career as a college Track & Field coach with family life and late-night studio sessions, Nick’s path is anything but conventional, yet it’s precisely this balance that gives his music its deeply human and introspective quality.

Nick’s self-exploratory production journey began in 2012, spending countless hours immersed in sound design, melody, and atmosphere until a distinct sonic identity began to take shape. His early releases under the alias SeamLess Beat leaned into shadowy, cinematic textures, culminating in a major breakthrough when John Fleming’s JOOF Recordings released his debut album Colors in 2015, a defining moment that proved to be a springboard for everything that followed.

In 2019, Nick stepped fully into his own name, embracing a creative approach driven by instinct rather than formal training. His sound evolved into a rich and emotionally charged blend of deep, melodic, progressive house and trance-influenced electronics, often described as melancholy, introspective, and cinematic. Moving fluidly between genres, from ambient soundscapes to dancefloor-ready progressive, his music carries a signature balance of sadness and hope, woven through deep basslines, organic rhythms, and abstract sonic motifs.

Since then, Nick Newman’s work has found homes on respected labels such as Seven Villas, Hoomidaas, Armadillo Records, Sudbeat, Akbal Music, Manual Music, and more. His releases have drawn strong global support from scene leaders including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Gai Barone, Armen Miran, and others who value emotional depth and musical storytelling. Career highlights include the million-stream milestone of Nostalgia and the 2024 release of his critically acclaimed fourth artist album Childhood, which reached #1 across multiple Beatport charts and marked his most expressive work to date.

Now, Nick makes his debut on District Records with the three-track Mayhem EP, featuring Mayhem,” Secret Service and Ecstasy. Each track showcases a different shade of his musical world, from driving progressive energy to introspective melodic moments, all unified by a deep emotional core and refined production touch.
